Walk with the Wise

For March 2024, we are providing daily studies that focus on the book of Proverbs. While we don't expect to focus on every single verse, we are working through Proverbs with insights that we hope you find valuable.

  1. The Power of Companionship - Explore the influence that our companions have on our lives and spiritual growth. How do our relationships shape our attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors?
  2. Walking with the Wise - Discuss the wisdom of choosing wise companionship. What are the characteristics of wise individuals, and why is it beneficial to walk alongside them?
  3. Becoming Wise - Reflect on the promise that walking with the wise leads to wisdom. How does spending time with wise mentors and peers contribute to our own growth and maturity?

Application

Consider how the message of Proverbs 13:20 can be applied to your life:

- Evaluate your current relationships and associations, considering whether they are leading you closer to wisdom and spiritual growth or away from it. Pray for discernment in choosing wise companionship.

- Seek out opportunities to connect with wise mentors and peers who can encourage and challenge you in your faith journey. Look for individuals who demonstrate wisdom, integrity, and a commitment to following God's ways.

- Be intentional about investing in meaningful relationships and prioritizing time with wise companions. Take advantage of opportunities for fellowship, study, and prayer with like-minded believers who share your desire for spiritual growth.

- Guard your heart and mind against the influence of foolish or unwise individuals, recognizing the potential harm they can bring. Pray for strength and wisdom to resist negative peer pressure and to stand firm in your convictions.
