John 8:12
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
Reflection:
Darkness can feel overwhelming, but it cannot overcome the light. Jesus declared Himself to be the Light of the World, a beacon of hope and guidance in the midst of life’s uncertainties. His light illuminates the path ahead, dispelling fear and filling us with His peace and purpose.
As we prepare for Christmas, we are reminded that the birth of Christ brought light into a dark and broken world. His light doesn’t just brighten our circumstances; it transforms our hearts and empowers us to shine His love into the lives of others. Today, let’s reflect on how we can carry His light into the world, bringing hope to those around us.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Light of the World. Help me to walk in Your light and to reflect Your love in all I do. Teach me to trust in Your guidance and to share Your light with those who are searching for hope. Shine through me, Lord, so that others may see You. Amen.
Challenge:
Take a moment today to light a candle as a symbol of Christ’s light in your life. As it burns, reflect on how His presence has brightened your path and ask Him to show you ways to share His light with others this Advent season.
